Company

As a competent Austrian furniture producer, we continuously exert ourselves to find new modern and flexible concepts and solutions in the manufacturing of furniture for our customers. This way of thinking is reflected in the modern multicoloured design at the entrance area of our headquarters. ADA is a good example of a successful family company, despite the uncertain times and where traditional structures work alongside the international market’s requirements.

Our headquarters in Anger produces middle to high price range upholstered furniture, beds, mattresses and slatted frames. The 50,000 square metre site holds enough space for the offices, show rooms and the factory itself.
Approximately 650 people now work at ADA Austria. Johann Vorraber (Production) and Egon Wiesenhofer (Purchase and Building) are responsible for the management.

From the headquarters in Anger, ADA supplies –partly with its own lorries– several markets: Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Benelux, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The export ratio amounts to approx. 50%.

In Körmend, 90 km away from here, our Hungarian sister company produces upholstered furniture for the low and the middle price ranges. About 750 people work there on a 45,000 square metre site. 240 suites are produced daily, 97% of them for the European and Swiss markets. The Austrian Managing Director Christine Gaulhofer (Sales), and Managing Director Paul Huszár (Purchasing), have made a tremendous contribution to the success of the Hungarian company.

The four ADA companies –in Austria (ADA Möbelfabrik GmbH), in Hungary (ADA Hungária Kft. and Nova Butorgyar Kft.) and in Romania (ADA fabrica de mobilia s.r.l.)– have merged into the Elefant Holding AG. The board of directors consists of: Christian Derler, Monika Grünwald, Peter Scherf and Gerhard Vorraber.
